This evening was Session One at the Barnstable County House of Correction. Sixteen men, ages 19 to 60, some with no meditation experience, some with as much as four months of weekly meditation classes in the facility. I’ve been working towards this since January of last year, and it feels so good to finally, actually be bringing it.
I am so proud of these guys. They are all interested, and some are really motivated, and already experiencing the benefits of sitting, breathing, slowing. In one hour they are added to the army of teachers available to me. Deepest thanks to all my teachers.
And thanks to Kate, and Richard, and Micah, and all the other people at PMI for your support and enthusiasm.
